The FCC has announced that they will stop accepting new applications for the Affordability Connectivity Program as of February 7, 2024, and the last funded month will be April 2024. Due to this, Ting can no longer enroll customers in the ACP program.
If you were enrolled in the ACP program through Ting Internet, please monitor your email for updates from Ting regarding the end of ACP, including updates to your bill.
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) was designed to assist households with an income at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines. Though the program launched in 2021 with $14.2 billion in funding from Congress, the program has not received any additional funding, and the FCC has announced that funds will run out by the end of April 2024.
One of Ting Internet’s goals is to lessen the unequal access to digital technology, known as the digital divide. Ting Internet advocates for Congress and the White House to renew ACP funding to keep internet accessible to the millions of consumers nationwide who need the ACP program to afford broadband services.
