Managing Your payment method

Ting accounts are set up for automatic billing to your credit or debit card, making life easier. You can update or add a new payment method anytime in your account settings.

How to add a new payment method

  1. Log in to your Ting account.
  2. Go to Account Settings.
  3. Scroll to the Payment Method section and click Update payment method.
  4. Select Ting Mobile and click Next.
  5. Enter your payment information, including your billing address.
  6. Click Save changes.
  7. Your payment method is now updated! The new payment method will be used for your future monthly billing cycles.

Available payment methods

We accept credit, debit, and some prepaid cards from most major companies as long as they have an American Express, Discover, Mastercard, or Visa logo.

Canadian cards

  • Charged in US Dollars: If you use a Canadian card, it will be charged in US dollars.
  • Exchange rate: Your bank will determine the exchange rate when your card is charged. Please note that if you are refunded any portion of the charge, the exchange rate may be different (higher or lower).
  • US Address required: You are required to have a United States address on file for taxation purposes and to provide a phone number in your area. You will be asked for this address when adding your card during a purchase, activation, or number transfer.
Does using a Canadian credit card mean I can get service in Canada?

We only offer service in the United States. Using your Ting phone outside of the US will incur roaming charges.

Authorization hold

When you add a card to your Ting account, you may see a $1 authorization immediately afterward. This is just a hold to check if the card is valid and should disappear after 24-48 hours.
