Using Call Forwarding

Call forwarding enables you to forward calls to your mobile to a number that you specify. It's available for no extra charge, but you will be billed per minute for any connected calls via call forwarding. You are only able to forward to numbers within the United States from your Ting line.

Enabling call forwarding from your account

First, you'll need to enable call forwarding in the Device settings on your account. To update these settings, click the edit pencil icon at the top of the Minutes section of your device's settings.

Note: Can use call forwarding must be enabled for the other two settings to work.

There are three forwarding options available:

  • Unconditional call forwarding: All of your calls will be forwarded immediately to another number. These calls will not ring on your phone before ringing the destination number. Once enabled, missed calls will not go to voicemail.
  • Forward 'busy signal' calls: When you enable 'busy signal' forwarding, calls are only forwarded if you are utilizing call waiting—essentially if you're on two calls. If calls are missed, they will not go to voicemail. If you're just on one call, though, and you ignore the second call, it will go to voicemail as usual rather than forwarding.
  • Forward unanswered calls: When you enable 'no answer' forwarding, incoming calls will ring on your line a few times before rolling over to the forwarding number. Missed calls will not go to voicemail.
