You are able to connect your Ting domain to services purchased from other providers, such as website hosting or email. To do so, you will need to update the DNS records associated with your domain.
Until you update your DNS records to associate or connect them to your domain, they will remain inactive.
Different types of services require different types of records to make them work with your domain. Always refer to the technical information provided to you by any service you purchase to use with your domain to find the records you need to create.
Creating new records is easy and you can most often simply copy and paste them out of the documentation or service provider welcome email into the Ting Domains DNS records creation tool as described below.
Your domain will need to use Ting Domain's default nameservers to handle any DNS settings you create in your Ting Domains account. If you are using external nameservers with your domain, you will need to create your DNS settings through the service controlling those 3rd party nameservers.
Different types of records take different amounts of time to become live. Please refer to your outside provider's documentation to find out how long it generally takes for their records to propagate across the internet and begin to function.
Login to your Ting Domain account with your username and password at tingdomains.com/site/login.
On the Your Domains page, select the Manage link to the right of the domain you wish to update DNS settings for.
Select Nameservers & DNS from the domain management menu on the left.
To ensure any new DNS settings you create will be handled by Ting, look under the Nameservers section at the top .
Confirm you are using Ting Domain's default nameservers: a.ns.shopco.com, b.ns.shopco.com, c.ns.shopco.com.
Scroll down to the DNS Records section near the bottom of the page.
Select the + Add DNS Record button to enter your first new record.
From the Type dropdown menu, select the record type that matches the technical information you were given by your webhosting, email, or other service provider.
Copy and paste or enter the exact information needed for the record type per the instructions provided by your 3rd party service provider.
Once finished, click the Add Record button to save your new DNS record.
Under the DNS Records section, you will now see your new saved record!
