Setting up auto-renew when you purchase your domain will automatically renew and charge you at the end of its subscription term. This is the recommended way to keep your domain registration and related services active. Alternatively, your Ting Domains can be renewed manually through your domain management account. You can confirm whether auto-renew is enabled for your domain(s) through your Ting Domains domain management account.
If you don't renew your domain registration before the term expires, your website’s DNS will go offline. Most registries offer a grace period to prevent domains from being lost by accident or forgotten to renew. It will be inactive but recoverable, but the timeframes vary by registry. However, if you wait too long, you may not be able to recover the domain name.
You can extend your domain's registration years without penalties, even if auto-renewal is on. The additional years will be added to your current registration period, extending the expiry date. Most registries allow a maximum of 10 years.
Log in to your Ting Domain account with your username and password at tingdomains.com/site/login.
On Your Domains page, select the Manage link next to the domain you want to manually renew.
From the Domain Overview page, click the Renew button at the top right.
One year of renewal will be added to your shopping cart, along with any additional services on your domain, like Privacy Protection, if you choose to continue using them.
Click the Continue to cart button.
Confirm the contents of your Cart to ensure you are renewing the correct domain and services. If satisfied, select the Continue to Checkout button at the bottom right.
If everything is correct, click the Pay button at the bottom right.
And finally, you will be directed to the Purchase Complete page and receive a confirmation email for your records.
