International long distance and roaming are one of the few times that there may be a surcharge or additional fees when using Ting.
International Long-Distance

Incoming international calls are just like any other call!
- There is no additional charge for sending texts to an international long-distance number.
- You can also receive texts from an international long-distance number for no extra cost.
Making an international phone call
- Enter a US exit code 011. To make an international phone call, just add the US exit code 011 at the beginning of the number.
- Then, a country code. Each country also has a country code to direct the call appropriately.
International roaming coverage is limited to Canada and Mexico
Ting Mobile's international roaming is only available in Canada and Mexico. We do not offer roaming services for any countries outside of North America.
International roaming is not enabled by default
- To turn on international roaming, please call us at 1-800-228-1757. We'll get it set up for you.
- Your account needs to be in good financial standing for international roaming to be enabled.
Cost of sending text messages outside the US
You can send and receive text messages if you're within our international roaming. The cost per text message will vary depending on where you are traveling.
