Never Miss a Call
Call forwarding lets you redirect calls from your mobile phone to another U.S. number based on your preferred conditions. Best of all? There’s no extra charge for using call forwarding on Ting!
Call Forwarding Options
When setting up call forwarding, you can choose from these options:
- Unconditional Call Forwarding: All calls are forwarded immediately to the specified number, skipping your phone entirely. Missed calls won’t go to voicemail.
- Forward Busy Calls: Calls are forwarded only if you’re already on two calls at once. If ignored, a second call goes to voicemail as usual. Missed calls in this mode won’t reach voicemail.
- Forward Unanswered Calls: Calls ring your phone a few times before being forwarded. Missed calls won’t go to voicemail.
Before setting up call forwarding on your phone, enable it in your Ting account:
- Log in to your Ting account.
- Select Device settings from the left-hand menu.
- Click on the phone number where you want to enable call forwarding.
- In the Minutes section, click the pencil icon to edit.
- Toggle Can use call forwarding to On.
- Select your desired call forwarding option and toggle it to On.
- Click Save.
Unconditional Call Forwarding
Redirect all calls directly to another number.
Turn On:
- Dial *72 + the 10-digit number you want to forward to (e.g., *72-555-123-4567).
- Wait for a series of beeps or the call to end.
Turn Off:
- Dial *73.
- Wait for the beeps or call confirmation.
Call Forwarding When Busy
Forward calls only when you're on two calls at once.
Turn On:
- Dial *71 + the 10-digit number you want to forward to (e.g., *71-555-123-4567).
- Press Talk/Send.
- Wait for the confirmation message.
Turn Off:
- Dial *73.
- Press Talk/Send.
- Wait for the confirmation message.
Call Forwarding When Unanswered
Forward calls after your phone rings a few times.
Turn On:
- Dial *71 + the 10-digit number you want to forward to (e.g., *71-555-123-4567).
- Press Talk/Send.
- Wait for the confirmation message.
Turn Off:
- Dial *73.
- Press Talk/Send.
- Wait for the confirmation message.
