1. Confirm Airplane Mode is Off

• iPhone:
  1. Swipe down on your home screen to open the control center.
  2. Check the airplane icon. If it’s highlighted, tap it to turn off Airplane Mode.
• Android:
  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Network & Internet.
  3. Toggle Airplane Mode off.

2. Restart Your Device

Restarting your device refreshes your connection to the Ting cellular network.

3. Check Your Phone Number Status

Log in to your Ting Mobile account to ensure your number is active.

4. Confirm You Are Not Roaming Internationally

Ting’s data services are only available in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

5. Confirm Your Software Is Up-to-Date

• iPhone:
  1. Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
• Android:
  1. Open Settings > System > System Update.

6. Reset Your Network Settings

Note: This will delete saved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth passwords.

• iPhone:
  1. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
• Android:
  1. Open Settings > System > Reset Options > Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth > Reset Settings.

7. Update Carrier Settings (iPhone Only)

1. Connect to Wi-Fi.
2. Go to Settings > General > About.
3. Follow any prompts to update.

8. Check Your Network Mode

• iPhone:
  1. Open Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Enable 4G > Voice & Data.
• Android:
  1. Open Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Mode.
  2. Select your preferred network.

9. Update APN Settings (Android Only)

If your data still isn’t working, update your APN settings.

Step 1: Reset APNs to Default

1. Go to Settings > Mobile or Cellular Networks > Access Point Names.
2. Tap the Menu (three dots or “More”).
3. Select Reset to Default.

1. Tap the + icon and enter the details below:

  • APN Roaming Protocol: IPV4V6

  • APN: VZWAPP
  • APN Type: cbs,mms
