If you are having trouble using data while using a Ting SIM, try these troubleshooting steps.
Confirm Airplane Mode is Off
- iPhone:
- Swipe down on your home screen to open the control center.
- Tap the airplane icon.
- If it's highlighted, tap it to turn airplane mode off.
- Android: Head to your Settings app > Network & internet > Turn Airplane mode on or off
Restarting your device can help refresh your connection to our cellular network.
Log in to your TingMobile.com account to make sure your number is active.
We currently do not support roaming outside of the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
If you are using an iPhone, you may need to update your carrier settings.
Connect to Wi-Fi > Settings > General > About > Follow the directions on the screen.
If you are using an Android phone, you may need to update your APN Settings.
First, reset your APNs to default:
- Go to Settings
- Tap More networks (under Connections tab, or More, Wireless & networks, Wireless Controls, Wireless Manager, Phone Information)
- Tap Mobile or Cellular networks
- Tap Access Point Names
- Tap the Menu icon (3 vertical dots or 'More,' usually in the top right corner)
- Tap Reset to default
Next, use the "+" icon to add your APN settings:
