If you’re having trouble making calls with a Ting SIM, try these steps.
Check the Settings
Confirm Airplane mode is off
- iPhone:
- Swipe down on your home screen.
- Tap the airplane icon in the control center.
- If it's highlighted, tap it to turn off airplane mode.
- Android:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Network & internet.
- Then turn Airplane mode on or off.
Check Do Not Disturb is off
- iPhone: Swipe down to open the control center and look for the Do Not Disturb moon icon. If you don't see the moon icon, Do Not Disturb is off.
- Android: Swipe down from the top of your screen and tap Do Not Disturb.
Check call forwarding settings
Make sure call forwarding is off. To turn it off, dial *73.
Check VoLTE is Enabled
- iPhone: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options or Settings > Mobile Data > Voice & Data > Enable LTE
- Android: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Voice & Data > VoLTE
Check your Network Mode
- iPhone: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Enable 4G > Voice & Data
- Android: Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Mode > Choose your preferred Network Mode
Reset your Network Settings
Attention
This will remove all WiFi and Bluetooth passwords.
- iPhone: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset > Reset Network Settings
- Android: Settings > System > Reset Options > Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth > Reset Settings
Ensure you're using 10-digit dialing
We are only able to process calls with a ten-digit number, like "111-111-1111."
Delete and re-add the contact
Manually deleting and re-adding the contact can help ensure the number is stored correctly in your phone.
Check the number (long-distance calls)
For long-distance calls, use the country code and the phone number.
Check your blocked numbers
- iPhone: Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts
- Android: Phone app > Settings Menu > Block Numbers
Log in to your TingMobile.com account and check your number is active.
Restarting your device can help refresh your connection to our cellular network.
Taking out and putting back in your SIM card will perform a hard reset and refresh your connection to our mobile network.
We currently do not support roaming outside of the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
