If you’re seeing a PUK Lock or SIM Lock error on your device, don’t worry! It’s not the same as a network lock, which prevents a device from being used on another network. We’ll help you unlock your SIM so you can get back to enjoying your phone in no time.
A PUK (Personal Unlocking Key) is an 8-digit code that unlocks your SIM if the PIN has been entered incorrectly three times.
Important: After 10 incorrect attempts, your SIM will permanently lock. Call us if you’re unsure about your PUK code to avoid this.
A SIM PIN is a feature that protects your SIM card from unauthorized use. If enabled, it will require a PIN when:
You’ll see a “Locked SIM” message in the status bar if this feature is active.
Enter the PIN set up on your device to unlock. If you don’t remember your PIN, try the default codes: 0000 or 1234.
Note: Ting cannot retrieve your SIM PIN. If you’re unable to unlock your SIM, contact us to order a replacement SIM.
