Your Simply Bits Account Is Getting an Upgrade

We’re rolling out a new and improved account management system and we’re excited to bring you along. If you’re currently on a legacy system, we’ll be moving your account to ting.com soon. When it’s your turn, you’ll get an email with everything you need to know.

Here’s what to expect and how to make the most of the new system.

Why the change?

We’re making account management easier, more secure, and more flexible. With the new system, you get:

🔐 Better security

Electronic payments reduce the risks that come with checks.

⚡️ Faster service

Payments are processed quicker, which means fewer delays and less hassle.

💳 More flexibility

We’ll be adding support for additional payment methods down the line.

Billing and payment

What payment options are accepted?

You can pay with ACH or a credit/debit card. We accept:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover
Why not checks?

Checks can get lost or delayed. Switching to electronic payments helps us keep your billing secure, fast, and efficient.

When will my card be charged?

On the new system, billing is more predictable. You’ll be charged and invoiced on the same day each month, typically the 20th.

What if I miss a payment?

No worries–your service won’t stop right away. We’ll notify you by email and retry your payment a few times. To catch up, just log into your account and update your payment method.

Setting up your account

Updating your email

If you have multiple Simply Bits accounts, you might notice a small change to your email address. That’s just how our system ensures each email is unique. We'll send your Simply Bits account number and your login email to you when your account is ready.

For example:
If your email is ting@ting.com and you have two accounts, your second might be ting+1@ting.com.

This new email is only used for logging in. Most email providers will still send messages–like password resets–to your usual address.

You’ll be able to update your email once you're logged in, however, each account must use a unique email ID. Accounts are unable to be merged.

How to update your email:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Go to My account .
3. Click Account settings.

4. Update your email under Account details.

5. Click Update to save.

Setting your new password

When your new account is ready, reset your password to get started.

1. Go to the Sign In page.
2. Click Forgot Password?

3. Enter the email from your Ting account.
4. Select Submit.
5. Check your email for the reset password link.
6. Follow the link to set a new password (must be at least 10 characters).
7. You're ready to log in!

Once you're in, review your account details and make updates if needed.

Accessing and printing bills

How will I know my bill has been paid?

Each month's bill moving forward will show in your Billing history. If you have any credits, those will show up as separate statements on your account as well, and we'll use your credits before billing your card.

Can I access my billing statements online?

Yes! Use the "Email me a copy" function to acquire a copy of your invoices to view, print, or save for your records.

For ting.com accounts upgraded from our old account platform, you have full access to all invoices from the date of the upgrade forward. If you ever need access to billing invoices created prior to that date, simply drop us a note, and we'll be happy to help.

How do I print my bill?

You can send yourself a PDF copy of any bill within your Ting Account.

  • For internet service billing log in at ting.com/internet.
  • Click Billing on the left navigation bar.
  • Click the Email me a copy option to the right of the specific bill.
  • A checkmark with the message "Bill sent to your email" will appear near the top of the page to let you know the bill was successfully sent. A PDF copy of the bill will go to the email associated with your Ting Internet account.
Example of a monthly Ting bill.
Will you mail my bill?

Ting does not send bills out by mail. You can obtain a PDF version of your bill from the Billing section of your account online.

Updating or adding your payment method

  1. Log in to your Ting account.
  2. On the overview page, select Manage payment →.
  1. Your current billing information will be shown, if available. Select Add payment method to update it.
  1. Enter in your credit card details. If you prefer using ACH, scroll down to ACH and select the box. Enter the requested information.
  2. Select Add to save it to your Ting account.
