This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to set up a Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password for a ZyXel EMG3425-Q10A Ting router.
These instructions only apply to ZyXel EMG3425-Q10A Ting routers. To make configuration changes for other routers, refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
First, connect your device—be it a phone, laptop, or another device—to the router. Plug an Ethernet cable from your device into one of the LAN ports on the router's back. If Ethernet isn't available, connect via Wi-Fi.
If the Zyxel Network isn't showing:
This is not the same as the Wi-Fi password - this one controls admin access to your router. Choose a new password for your router's configuration interface and make sure to remember it (by writing it down or best to save it in a secure password manager application).
After a few minutes, your new Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) should appear on your Wi-Fi devices.
If you were connected to the old Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) when making these changes, you'll need to reconnect using the new name. If you changed the Wi-Fi password, remember to use the new one!
