Fullerton Ting internet services transitioning to GigabitNow

In this article

‍

Effective after June 11, 2026, Ting will stop serving Fullerton and existing customers will be transitioned to the Fullerton internet provider GigabitNow.
‍

Why is Ting discontinuing service in Fullerton?

We know this is disruptive, and it’s not a decision we’ve made lightly.

While we have loved serving Fullerton, this very small group of customers now have options for great connectivity with other Internet providers like GigabitNow using the same connection and fixed equipment.

For us to continue to offer service to so few customers in this market doesn’t make sense for us—in time, money, or potential confusion.  Alternative fiber service from GigabitNow is available at your address and can use the same connection, making the transition as simple as possible. There are also non-fiber alternatives available at your address that you can explore.

‍

Who is GigabitNow?

GigabitNow is a trusted fiber internet provider with a long-standing reputation for quality and community partnership, providing internet services in Fullerton since 1991.

  • They offer 24/7 local customer support and network monitoring.
  • They use the same network and same modem as Ting.
  • GigabitNow offers a variety of internet speeds.
  • GigabitNow is also a key partner of SiFi Networks, the developer of the Fullerton FiberCity® network.
    ‍

What do I need to do?

Nothing! This shift is designed to be as non-disruptive as possible for our customers, with no active participation required for the switchover.

Honestly - No Action Required

The transition to GigabitNow will happen automatically. You do not need to sign a new contract right away or to even schedule an appointment.

‍

Continuity of Service

You will keep all your current internet equipment, monthly service plans, and pricing if you remain with GigabitNow.

‍

Will there be any downtime?

There will be a temporary service interruption during the maintenance window. This will happen on the transition date as the network handoff is completed. We anticipate a short service interruption of less than 30 minutes.

‍

Billing & Account Management

We have streamlined the billing process during this transition to ensure transparency and prevent double-billing.

  • You will only be charged for service you receive.
  • All Ting billing will stop automatically as of June 11, 2026.
  • GigabitNow will reach out directly to set up your new payment methods and account credentials.
  • If you choose not to sign up with GigabitNow, your Ting fiber service will stop on June 11th, and you will need to find another internet provider on your own.

‍

Pricing at GigabitNow

The price you pay for internet services will not change!

Monthly rates remain identical to current Ting pricing during the transition period. You also may be able to choose a different speed with GigabitNow for a different price which you can discuss directly with GigabitNow.
